Khanna Municipal Council
The Municipal Council of Khanna is very old and dates back to the days of 1931. The town and the city of Khanna town has a conglomerate of 27 wards and a Municipal Councilor represents each of the ward. The Municipal Councilor is an elected representative by the people of a particular ward and the total of twenty seven councilors from all the wards, come together to collectively form the council and thereby work towards the betterment and development of the city of Khanna and ensure that all the basic amenities and facilities are provided to the people of Khanna.The Municipal Council is responsible for providing water connectivity, city planning, sewage management, waste management, general administration, maintenance of the market places and establishing public places are some of the functions undertaken by the Municipal Council.
